We, the undersigned ask you, John Baird Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Rob Nicholson Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, to ensure that all avenues of investigation and prosecution are pursued in the case of the Asha Goel. We urge the Canadian authorities to conduct an independent investigation into the Canadian involvement in the case, to comply with the MLAT requests of the Indian authorities and assist them in their investigation and prosecution of this case. We ask that you apply all means at your disposal to solve this case and support its investigation. Dr. Asha Goel was a Canadian. The attention, support and assistance of the Canadian government is key to ensuring that justice is done in her name.
